Cow-Tron Classic

Cow-Tron Classic HB

At long last I am able to offer ‘G’ size humbuckers to fit US made Gretsch instruments and newer far eastern ones.

It’s a matter of debate, but it may well have been Ray Butts of Gretsch who invented the Humbucker for Chet Atkins ... Even though Seth Lover working for Gibson was first to the patent office.

The distinctive scooped mids and sparkling definition have defined the Rockabilly sound, and are now finding new fans in many other genres of music.

This is the classic model in ‘US mount’ with 4.5/4.8k resistance, and fitted with my special ¼ inch thick magnets just like the original.

All the sound and goodness of my ‘G’ mount pickup … but the same size as a regular humbucker, so you can give that unique sound to practically any HB equipped guitar.

These pickups aren’t a one trick ‘rockabilly’ pony, the classic hard rock rhythm sound of a certain Australian band was built on the clear but growling tone of this sort of pickup, pushed through a steaming British valve amp.
